Why are private tours more expensive than group tours?

By booking a private tour of Los Angeles with Classic Experiences, you are guaranteed a spotless, discreet luxury vehicle, or a stylish convertible classic American car that will accommodate you and your immediate party. Our private tours provide the flexibility for you to choose your start time, pick up and drop off location, and most importantly — the ability to customize your tour to your interests. You will also have a professional tour guide that specializes in individualized customer service who will go above and beyond to make your tour memorable.

Is the pricing per group or per person?

For our private tours, our rates are listed per group, rather than pricing per person. You can refer to our list of tours for full pricing and details. Please call or email to request for groups larger than six, so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Reservation

Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes, we do require you to make a reservation to secure your travel dates. You can book online on any tour page, or reserve your dates by email or phone. Please book in advance as dates fill up quickly during peak travel season.

What is your refund policy?

Cancellation is free up to 48 hours before your tour starts, and you get a full refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the start time, the amount you paid is non-refundable, but we will give you a tour credit you can use within one year.

General

Where do the tours begin?

Pickup is complimentary from hotels in Beverly Hills, Hollywood and downtown Los Angeles: your guide meets you at the concierge desk of your hotel. Staying somewhere else, such as Santa Monica, Anaheim or near LAX? Ask us before you book. For tours that focus on one area, we can also meet you there to make the most of your tour time.

Do you offer tours in other languages?

Our tours run in English and Spanish. Other languages are available on request: tell us when you book and we will check guide availability.

Are your tours appropriate for kids?

Yes, all of our tours are appropriate for children. We love having kids on our tours, and we find that they truly enjoy the experience. We have booster and child seats available. We recommend children of seven years of age or older can participate in our Classic Car Tours, and children of any age can participate in our SUV tours.

Do our tours stop for lunch?

On our four-hour tour, we stop for a tea or coffee break. If you have booked a six or eight-hour tour, please let us know at the start of the tour if you would like to stop for a mid-tour snack so that we can accommodate and plan your day accordingly. Some people like to grab a quick healthy salad or Californian tacos, but most people like to sit down for a nice relaxing meal.

Is it okay to tip your tour guide?

Tipping is always optional. However, if you had a great time and want to thank your tour guide, gratuities are very much appreciated. Ten to twenty percent is a general rule of thumb in the service industry in USA.

How much walking do we do?

Because you are booking a private tour we can go at whatever pace you choose. Please, keep in mind that the faster the pace, the more we get to see. What is most important though is that you are comfortable and enjoy the day. If you have any mobility issues, please let us know in advance.

Celebrities

Does the Celebrity Homes Tour include true information?

We do our best to make sure we stay up-to-date on celebrity news and know the most sought out secrets of celebrities who live in Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Bel-Air. Working closely with friends in show business help us to stay on top with which celebrities who have bought a new house, with whom they are hanging out with and what’s new in the lives of rich and famous.

Is it true that gates and tall bushes surround all celebrity homes?

It is partially true because many celebrity houses, especially in Beverly Hills and Bel Air, are not visible as they are surrounded by gates and tall bushes. We do our best to show you celebrity homes that you can see, and so that you can get a sense of the neighborhood. Our tour guides can also provide you with in-depth information about the real estate, and history about the celebrity homes.

Is it possible to see a celebrity during the tour?

We say that it is always possible. We do our best to create magic and show you the best places where there is a higher chance to spot someone famous. However, you will have to be very good with faces and recognizing celebs without makeup, wearing sunglasses and hats. We also have a list of hotspots that we would recommend going to spot celebrities.

Can we customize the tour?

Yes, every tour is 100% customizable. Tell us what you would like to see and we will build your private tour of LA and California. Book online or email us with your inquiry.
